Trick #1: Set Strategic Prayer Reminders Throughout Your Day  Here's a question that might sting a little: How many times did your phone remind you to check social media today? Now, how many times did it remind you to talk to your Heavenly Father? Most of us have accidentally trained our devices to pull us away  from God. But with one simple shift, you can flip that script entirely. Use your phone's reminder or calendar function to create prayer prompts. This isn't about being legalistic. It's about being intentional. You already set reminders for meetings, appointments, and deadlines. Why not set reminders for the most important conversation you'll have all day? Here's how to make this work: Morning anchor:  Set a reminder for the first 15 minutes after you wake up. Before you scroll, you pray. Midday reset:  Schedule a noon reminder. Even 60 seconds of gratitude during lunch can shift your entire afternoon. Evening reflection:  A bedtime reminder helps you close the day in conversation with God rather than doom-scrolling. Focus is one of the greatest battles believers face in prayer. Here's a game-changing solution: set a timer. I know it sounds almost too simple. But there's real power in this approach. When you set a timer, you accomplish two things: You eliminate clock-watching.  Nothing kills prayer momentum faster than peeking at the time every few minutes. A timer frees you to be fully present. You create intentional structure.  Instead of vague "I'll pray for a while" plans, you commit to a specific duration. Here's a framework I recommend to the people I coach: 5 minutes of praise:  Start by thanking God for who He is. 5 minutes of confession:  Bring your shortcomings honestly before Him. 5 minutes of intercession:  Pray for others, family, friends, leaders, your community. 5 minutes of personal petition:  Share your own needs and desires.
