Then list your fixed expenses: rent or mortgage, utilities, insurance, minimum debt payments, and groceries. Subtract these from your income. What's left? That's your opportunity money: funds you can allocate toward savings, debt payoff, and family fun. The power of a one-page budget lies in its simplicity.
