LM Video Development Update: Timeline Work Continues Behind Coming Soon
LM Video remains publicly Coming Soon while the timeline, media, graphics, audio and export workflow is stabilized. Existing project data remains preserved; new users are not being invited into the editor yet.
Current public status: Coming Soon
LM Video is not being marketed as a ready public beta right now. The product page remains open so creators can understand the direction, but new project access stays closed until the editor reaches a dependable quality bar.
What is being developed internally
Frame-aware timeline navigation and visible playhead behavior.
Predictable trim, split, move and track-order interactions.
Media organization that does not require LM to become a giant camera-original warehouse.
Understandable audio controls, waveforms and mix decisions.
Titles, lower thirds, graphics and credits that belong to the same project.
A clear export path with honest boundaries when browser-side or cloud rendering is not yet production-ready.
Why keep it closed?
A creative editor earns trust by protecting time and work. A Coming Soon label is better than inviting creators into an unstable timeline and calling unfinished behavior a feature.
What happens next
LM Video will continue developing inside LM Studio and the broader LMOS project architecture. When the timeline and output workflow are stable enough for everyday use, public access can reopen without forcing existing project data through another destructive rewrite.
Use the beta on real work.
