Before you check the news, spend even five minutes reading a passage, praying, or listening to worship. Let God's voice be the first thing that shapes your heart, not a headline. Choose one or two trusted sources. You don't need fifteen apps. Find a couple of outlets (or newsletters like The McReport) that give you calm, clear reporting without the chaos: and stick with them. Pray for discernment. Ask God to help you see what's important, what's noise, and where He's inviting you to act with wisdom and compassion. Talk about the news with people who build you up. Surround yourself with people who can process current events with faith, not fear. Take action where you can, and release what you can't control. Pray for leaders. Serve your neighbor. Speak truth with kindness. Vote with conviction. But don't carry the weight of the entire world on your shoulders: Jesus already did that.
