If you were to walk into a room and find 50 different dials on a wall, each set precisely to a specific decimal point, you would naturally assume someone set them that way. This is essentially what physicists have discovered about our universe. The fundamental constants of physics: gravity, the expansion rate of the Big Bang, and the strength of atomic forces: are "fine-tuned" to a degree that defies simple chance.
For instance, the initial expansion rate of the universe had to be accurate to within one part in $10^{60}$. To put that in perspective, that’s like trying to hit a one-inch target on the other side of the observable universe with a single arrow. If the expansion were slightly faster, galaxies wouldn’t form; slightly slower, and the whole thing would have collapsed back on itself long ago.
This isn't just "lucky." In any other context, when we see a code or a language, we assume an author. Whether it’s a "Hi Mom" written in alphabet soup or the millions of lines of code in a smartphone app, information always traces back to intelligence.
The Law of Biogenesis
Science has a long-standing observation called the Law of Biogenesis: life comes from life. Despite decades of trying, scientists have never observed life arising from non-living matter through unguided processes. The sheer statistical impossibility of a functional protein forming by chance: let alone a self-replicating cell: makes the "God hypothesis" the most rational explanation for the origin of life. If there is a "program," there is a Programmer.

This is why, in my leadership coaching, I always emphasize heart-centered integrity: it’s not just a "good strategy," it’s an alignment with the way the universe was actually built.
The Pivot Point of History: The Resurrection
While cosmology and biology give us a "Designer," the historical evidence for Jesus of Nazareth gives us a Name. The resurrection of Jesus is not just a Sunday school story; it is a historical claim that stands up to scrutiny.
Historians: both secular and religious: generally agree on several "minimal facts":
Jesus died by Roman crucifixion.
His disciples sincerely believed they saw Him alive after His death.
The skeptics (like Paul and James) were suddenly converted.
The tomb was empty.
How do you explain a group of cowardly, hiding disciples suddenly becoming willing to die for the claim that Jesus was alive? People will die for a lie they believe to be true, but they won’t die for a lie they know they made up. Can science prove God exists?
Science is the study of the natural world, and God is, by definition, supernatural (outside of nature). Therefore, science cannot "prove" God in a lab. However, science provides "indicators" or "clues": such as fine-tuning and biological information: that point to an intelligent cause.
Isn't the Big Bang an argument against God?
