Law: Borders and Belonging: Navigating the Secure America Act with a Heart of Mercy

The Secure America Act pushes a hard question to the surface: how do we protect a nation without losing our soul?
Many Christians feel that tension. We want secure borders, lawful order, and protection from crime and trafficking. We also hear Scripture call us to love the stranger, honor human dignity, and refuse to let fear harden our hearts. That pressure is real, and easy answers usually miss something important.
The better path is not choosing security over mercy, or mercy over security. In Christ, a balanced heart can hold both. A nation can pursue safety. A believer can still insist on compassion. We can support wise enforcement while remembering that every person is made in the image of God. Peace comes when truth and mercy walk together.
