"And these signs will accompany those who believe: In My name they will drive out demons; they will speak in new tongues; they will pick up snakes with their hands; and when they drink deadly poison, it will not hurt them at all; they will place their hands on sick people, and they will get well." —Mark 16:17-18

Living a Life That Looks Like Jesus

Imagine waking up every morning, not just hoping for a normal day, but expecting heaven to touch earth through your life. Imagine praying for someone and watching their pain disappear. Imagine opening your mailbox and finding a check you didn’t expect, or receiving a call that answers a prayer you forgot you even prayed.

This isn’t fantasy. This isn’t reserved for “super saints” or Bible-era believers.

This is the supernatural life Jesus died to give us.

Yet, for many Christians, miracles feel distant—like rare occurrences or ancient history.

Many love Jesus, attend church faithfully, and still live day to day unaware that they are carriers of divine power.

Let me say this clearly:Miracles are not meant to be the exception. They are meant to be your expectation.

Why Most Christians Miss the Miraculous

If miracles are our inheritance, why don’t more people experience them?

There’s no shortage of power in heaven. But there’s often a shortage of expectation on earth.

1. Many Don’t Know It’s Possible

From pulpits to podcasts, some believers have been subtly (or directly) taught that the age of miracles has passed. They’ve been told that miracles were just for establishing the early Church.

But Scripture doesn’t say that.

“Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever.” —Hebrews 13:8

  • If Jesus healed then, He heals now.

  • If He multiplied bread then, He still provides today.

  • If He raised the dead then, He still holds resurrection power now.

2. Others Are Waiting for a Feeling Instead of Taking Action

God’s miracles often require a step before the result. But fear convinces people to wait.

  • “What if nothing happens?”

  • “What if I pray and they don’t get healed?”

  • “What if I look foolish?”

But miracles don’t follow comfort zones. They follow faith.

3. Some People Simply Stopped Expecting

Disappointment can mute expectation. But a life of faith demands we hope again, believe again, and act again.

What Is a Miracle?

Before we go deeper, let’s define it:

A miracle is a supernatural intervention of God in the natural realm. It’s when heaven breaks in and overrides the laws of nature, time, or logic.

Miracles come in many forms:

  • Healing — physical, emotional, mental

  • Provision — financial breakthrough, food appearing, debts canceled

  • Protection — accidents averted, harm avoided

  • Deliverance — addictions broken, demons cast out, freedom restored

  • Guidance — divine direction, prophetic clarity, angelic visitation

“Miracles are not magic tricks. They are love in motion from a powerful, present God.”

Biblical Proof: Miracles Are Meant to Be Normal

Look at how miracles operated in Scripture:

The book of Acts is filled with miracles—and it doesn’t have a “The End.”

Jesus said:“Whoever believes in Me will do the works I have been doing, and they will do even greater things than these.”John 14:12

Paul declared that spiritual gifts, including healing and miracles, are for the Church (1 Corinthians 12:7–10).

Mark 16:17–18 wasn’t just for the apostles—it was for “those who believe.”

What Blocks the Supernatural?

Let’s be honest: miracles can feel elusive. But they’re not rare for God. They’re rare because of us. Here are five reasons believers miss them:

1. Lack of Expectation

“According to your faith let it be done to you.” —Matthew 9:29

If you pray without expecting God to move, you’re simply reciting words.

But when you pray with bold confidence — heaven listens.

2. Fear of Disappointment

We’ve all been there.

You prayed for someone, but nothing seemed to happen. You believed for a breakthrough, but the door stayed closed.

So what happens? We back off. We stop asking. We lower our expectations to protect ourselves.

But here’s the problem:

“When you protect yourself from disappointment, you also protect yourself from miracles.”

3. Doubt That God Will Use You

The enemy whispers:

  • “You’re not spiritual enough.”

  • “God uses other people, not you.”

  • “Who do you think you are?”

But God used fishermen, tax collectors, and a donkey.

He’ll use you too.

4. Waiting for the Perfect Moment

Miracles don’t come to people standing still. They come to those who move in obedience.

✔ Moses raised the staff — then the Red Sea split.

✔ Joshua marched — then the walls fell.

✔ Peter stepped out — then he walked on water.

5. Being in the Wrong Atmosphere

Unbelief is contagious. So is faith.

Jesus Himself couldn’t do many miracles in His hometown because of their unbelief (Mark 6:5–6).

Atmosphere matters.

How to Cultivate a Daily Life of Miracles

Want to walk in daily supernatural encounters? Here are five biblical principles that open the door:

1. Pray Bold, Audacious Prayers

“The prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective.” —James 5:16

Miracle-minded believers don’t pray safe prayers.

They pray:

✔ For the cancer to be gone

✔ For the lost child to come home

✔ For the impossible to become reality

“Small prayers honor your limitations. Big prayers honor God’s greatness.”

2. Speak Life and Declare God’s Promises

“Death and life are in the power of the tongue.” —Proverbs 18:21

You can talk yourself out of a miracle.

Don’t say:

✖ “This will never change.”

✖ “It’s hopeless.”

✖ “I guess this is my fate.”

Say:

✔ “God is a healer.”

✔ “I believe for breakthrough.”

✔ “My situation is turning around.”

Speak Scripture. Declare truth. Shift the atmosphere with your words.

3. Take a Step of Faith Before You See Anything

“We walk by faith, not by sight.” —2 Corinthians 5:7

Don’t wait to feel brave. Move anyway.

Lay hands on the sick and pray.

Apply for the job you feel unqualified for.

Give when you don’t know how ends will meet.

“Faith moves first. Miracles follow.”

4. Obey the Holy Spirit Promptly

Many miracles are missed simply because someone hesitated.

The Holy Spirit will prompt you:

  • “Text them now.”

  • “Pray out loud.”

  • “Give that offering.”

  • “Walk across the room.”

“If you are willing and obedient, you will eat the good of the land.” —Isaiah 1:19

Don’t delay. Obey quickly — even when it’s uncomfortable.

5. Stay in a Faith-Filled Environment

You’ve heard it before — “Who you walk with shapes where you go.” That couldn’t be more true when it comes to living a life filled with supernatural encounters. You cannot expect to walk in miracles while surrounding yourself with people who mock the supernatural, minimize God's power, or magnify doubt.

“Walk with the wise and become wise, for a companion of fools suffers harm.” —Proverbs 13:20

Surround yourself with people of prayer, people of vision, and people who believe in the God of impossible things.

You need friends who will:

  • Encourage you when your faith feels weak.

  • Join you in fasting and intercession.

  • Celebrate your miracles as their own.

  • Speak life over your dreams instead of discouragement.

Atmosphere matters. Faith is contagious. So is doubt.

Jesus even removed doubters from the room before raising Jairus’ daughter (Mark 5:40). Why? Because faith thrives in a charged environment.

If your current circle doesn’t believe for miracles, expand your circle. Get planted in a church that teaches and lives the full gospel. Find a small group or community that prays boldly, believes consistently, and moves in the gifts of the Spirit.

Your environment can either accelerate your breakthrough or sabotage it. Choose wisely.

When You Haven’t Seen Your Miracle Yet

Let’s be real. There are seasons where you’ve done everything “right” — you’ve prayed, fasted, declared, obeyed — and yet, nothing changes.

  • The healing hasn’t come.

  • The provision feels delayed.

  • The breakthrough is nowhere in sight.

In those moments, the temptation is to pull back, to doubt, or even to give up entirely.

But remember this:

“Let us not grow weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.”Galatians 6:9

Miracles don’t always come instantly — but they always come intentionally.

Some miracles take time because:

God is aligning other people and places.

He’s preparing your heart for what you’re asking.

He’s building faith muscles that only resistance can form.

Don't let the waiting convince you that God isn’t working.

He is never early, but He is never late.

Miracle Moments Are Often Found in Ordinary Days

Sometimes we miss miracles because we’re only looking for the dramatic — a blind man seeing, someone rising from a wheelchair, a huge financial windfall.

And yes, those miracles still happen.

But what about:

  • The peace that defies logic?

  • The open door that comes at the perfect time?

  • The kind word that shifts someone’s suicidal thoughts?

  • The dream that gives you divine direction?

These are miracles, too.

“Do not despise these small beginnings.” —Zechariah 4:10

Start looking for God in the mundane — because He’s not limited to mountaintop moments.

True Stories of Daily Miracles

Let’s step into the real world for a moment. Here are some modern-day examples of ordinary believers who walked in the miraculous:

1. The Grocery Store Prayer

Lisa was standing in line at the checkout when she overheard the woman in front of her telling the cashier she didn’t have enough money for groceries. Lisa felt a nudge from the Holy Spirit and offered to pay.

The woman burst into tears. “I just told God in the car, ‘If You’re real, show me today.’”

That was a miracle. Not flashy — but deeply supernatural.

2. The Unexpected Healing

Derek, a new believer, felt led to pray for his coworker’s migraine. Hesitantly, he asked if he could. She agreed.

He laid hands and whispered a shaky prayer. Within seconds, she looked stunned. “It’s gone. Completely gone.”

That was a miracle. And it stirred faith in both of them.

3. The Financial Provision

A couple in ministry needed $2,500 by the end of the week. They prayed and did everything they could to steward well, but they were out of options.

That Friday, someone mailed a check — for exactly $2,500. No explanation. No request for recognition.

That was a miracle. Quiet, precise, and deeply personal.

The Miracle Mindset: A Way of Living, Not a One-Time Event

Living a life of miracles means adopting a miracle mindset — one that sees God’s hand in every area of life.

Here’s what that looks like:

✔ Bold faith in the unseen

✔ Daily expectation of divine encounters

✔ Quick obedience to spiritual promptings

✔ Joyful generosity even when it doesn’t make sense

✔ Relentless hope even in seasons of delay

“Miracles aren’t just events to watch — they’re invitations to walk in.”

The Supernatural Is Your Birthright

If you’ve ever thought, “That’s not for me” — hear this:

You don’t have to be a preacher, prophet, or evangelist. You don’t have to have a title, a microphone, or a stage.

You just have to believe.

“And these signs will follow those who believe...” —Mark 16:17

You qualify.

So today, make the decision:

✔ To believe again

✔ To pray bigger prayers

✔ To look for the miraculous in your daily moments

✔ To be the one God uses when someone else is crying out

Because the supernatural life isn’t optional for the believer — it’s essential.

  • You were born again for more than normal.

  • You were made to carry His power.

  • You were designed to live in the overflow of the miraculous.

Start today. Expect miracles. Walk boldly. And let heaven invade earth — through you.

Reflection & Activation

What miracle have you stopped believing for? Ask God to reignite your faith.

Who in your life needs a miracle today? Be bold and offer to pray for them.

Where have you resisted stepping out? Ask the Holy Spirit for courage to act.
