News: 30 Missing Children Found and Reunited in Shelby County

By Dr. Layne McDonald

A joint multi-agency operation has located 30 missing children in Shelby County, reuniting them with their families. The effort reflects a community determined to protect its most vulnerable. Memphis has also seen encouraging progress, with violent crime down 37% from 2025 : the lowest level in two decades : and more than $40,000 invested in neighborhood-led safety and beautification projects.

These are real signs of hope in the Mid-South. Scripture places the care of children near the heart of God, who defends “the fatherless and the widow.” Communities that protect children honor Him.

This is a moment to give thanks and to stay engaged. Pray for the children, support local organizations, and be part of the good being built in Memphis.
