Should ministry leaders use AI? Yes, but only as a tool for stewardship, never as a replacement for the Holy Spirit.
As leaders in the marketplace and the ministry, we are constantly faced with the tension of "new." Technology moves at the speed of light, and Artificial Intelligence is the biggest shift we’ve seen in our lifetime. It’s tempting to either run toward it with blind excitement or run away from it in fear. But as people of faith, we are called to move with wisdom.
The goal of any tool, whether it’s a printing press, a guitar, or a generative AI model, is to help us fulfill our mission more effectively. But tools have a way of changing the craftsman. If we aren't careful, we can start "managing" our faith instead of "living" it. We can start letting an algorithm dictate our message instead of the Living Word of God.
Before you integrate AI into your workflow, your leadership, or your creative process, you need to step back and ask the hard questions. We need to lead with integrity of heart and skillful hands (Psalm 78:72).
Why Wisdom Matters in the Age of Algorithms
In a digital landscape where truth can feel slippery, Christian leaders must be the anchors. According to recent shifts in organizational handbooks and leadership studies through 2025 and 2026, AI is being recognized as a powerful catalyst for productivity, but it remains a poor substitute for presence.
The Bible doesn't mention "Large Language Models," but it has a lot to say about honesty, stewardship, and the source of our revelation. James 1:5 tells us that if we lack wisdom, we should ask God. He gives it generously. He doesn’t want us guessing our way through the future; He wants us walking with Him into it.

The Top 7 Biblical Questions for AI Adoption
Here is a framework to help you discern if and how you should use AI in your daily leadership:
Staying Grounded in the Marketplace
AI is a great servant but a terrible master. In the marketplace, integrity is your greatest currency. When you lead with a heart-centered approach, people notice. They don't just want information; they want transformation.

Your Life-Changing Shift
Here is the reality: You were created for a purpose that no machine can ever replicate. God didn't call an algorithm to lead your family, your business, or your ministry, He called you. He placed His Spirit inside of you because you carry a unique "frequency" of His love that the world desperately needs. When you stop worrying about keeping up with the machine and start focusing on keeping up with the Master, your leadership will shift from being pressured to being powerful. You aren't just a manager of tasks; you are a steward of souls and a carrier of light.
